In 1993 Flowers Studios was started as a way to combine artwork with the love of wildlife. In 1998 we decided to change the name of the business (we were sick of people ringing us wanting bunches of flowers) and Denise came up with the name Creature.
The aim of Creature is to educate people about our wonderful wildlife. It is our hope that one day people will not see wild creatures as pests but rather see the value in them.
Many reptiles were cared for and rescued by Bill in the early 1990s, and then in 1995 someone handed in a baby wombat to care for. Bottle feeding this wombat was like having a new baby with all the sleepless nights that goes with the job. The rewards were worth the effort including holes in the floor where the wombat tried to dig under a door.
There have been plenty of wallabies, possums, pademelons and reptiles since that wombat, and there are probably heaps more to come.
